MIT School of Indian Civil Services (MIT-SICS)

If students begin preparing for UPSC/MPSC examinations during their graduation, they do not need to spend additional years after graduation for preparation. With this vision, MIT-ADT University established the MIT School of Indian Civil Services, offering two integrated programmes — B.A. (Administration) at the undergraduate level and M.A. (Public Administration) at the postgraduate level.

The B.A. (Administration) programme is of three years’ duration and is open to students who have completed their 12th standard, while the M.A. (Public Administration) programme is a two-year course open to graduates from any discipline. The primary objective of these programmes is to prepare students for Civil Services Examinations (UPSC / State PSCs) while simultaneously awarding them a regular degree.

about

These carefully designed courses help aspirants prepare not only for UPSC and State PSC examinations but also for other prestigious government recruitment exams such as those conducted by NABARD, RBI, CBI-CID, EPFO, NIACL, Railway Board, IBPS, Staff Selection Commission, and various Banking institutions.

Through these programmes, students earn a recognized B.A. or M.A. degree and simultaneously build a strong foundation for competitive examinations. By the end of three years of B.A. or two years of M.A., students will be fully prepared to appear for UPSC or State PSC examinations. This integrated approach saves both time and money, allowing students to remain up-to-date with the knowledge required for cracking these competitive exams during the course of their regular studies — without requiring additional preparation after graduation.

In case a student is unable to qualify UPSC or other competitive exams, they will still be well-equipped to pursue higher studies in their chosen subject or professional programs such as MBA, Journalism, Design, or LLB. They will also be in a strong position to qualify other competitive examinations.

The programmes are taught by highly experienced faculty members with expertise in civil services coaching, following an exam-oriented approach. Students will benefit from:

  • Expert Guidance – Subject-specialist faculty and guest lectures by retired IAS/IPS officers, senior civil servants, and successful candidates.
  • Special Focus on Rural & Non-English Medium Students – Personalized attention and mentoring to overcome learning gaps.
  • Extensive Resources – Access to a well-equipped library with top academic and competitive exam reference books.
  • Holistic Development – Regular group discussions, seminars, presentations, and personality development sessions.
  • Continuous Evaluation – Periodic tests, assignments, projects, and presentations to track progress.
  • Skill Development – Emphasis on communication skills, leadership qualities, and confidence-building.
  • Student Well-being & Facilities– Separate hostels for boys and girls, along with extracurricular activities such as debates, elocution, essay writing, and quizzes.
  • Overall Growth – Support from the School of Holistic Development (SHD) and School of Corporate Innovation & Leadership (SCIL) for complete personality grooming.

In essence, MIT School of Indian Civil Services offers a unique opportunity to earn a degree while systematically preparing for civil services and other competitive examinations, ensuring that students are career-ready immediately after graduation or post-graduation.
